IED Design is the concrete and complete answer to the numerous and diversified needs of the professional world of design. Design is deeply rooted in all market sectors in regard to contents, languages, expressive and formal codes, technical and functional aspects. Over the last few years the value of design has increased in a multitude of highly differentiated sectors including urban design, fashion accessories, the car industry and computer supports.

Designers are, by definition, innovators of shapes and functions, interpreters and, at the same time, anticipators of emerging aesthetic lines and of the needs of their times. Curiosity, receptivity, project design skills and a deep knowledge on technologies and materials are fundamental requisitions necessary to capture these signals and to translate them into concrete and innovative objects. Designers are also "critics of objects", in the sense that their particular attitude towards observation and analysis of a home and a collective landscape continuously leads them to reinvent shapes and fruitions. IED Design courses aim at developing these qualities and attitudes together with technical and design skills and competencies, instilled both through workshops and constant interaction with enterprises in this sector.
